A personal computer! For many this was the ultimate leap in technology and advancement; the possibility of having a machine that would store data, compute and type. The computer’s graphic were almost non-existent and one had to grapple with the lack of color. In the 1980’s this computer came at a high cost to the purchaser. As society began demanding more, prices began slipping; this decrease in price made it more accessible for people to obtain. This succession in technology had positive ramifications with those involved in the Computer field; computer engineers, those in the information technology field, and software engineers who began creating better programs, faster and smaller computers, and building firewalls; color was also introduced. We slowly became a culture reliant on computers. Nowadays, many not only have personal computers in their homes but laptops as well.
